Wireless vs Wired Connectivity

The biggest functional difference is wireless connectivity. Connex Display connects to CarPlay and Android Auto wirelessly via a dedicated BLE channel. Navitas requires a wired USB connection. For golf cart and LSV use — where riders want to hop in and go without plugging anything in — wireless is a significant usability advantage.

Connex Display also uses dual BLE channels: one for CarPlay/Android Auto and a second dedicated channel for Bluetooth speakers and hands-free calling. Navitas uses a single Bluetooth 5.0 connection for all audio.

OEM vs aftermarket

Connex Display is designed as an OEM-grade system. It is factory-installed in Honor LSV golf carts and is fully white-label ready — manufacturers can ship it with their own branding, boot screen, and colour scheme. Navitas positions its display as an aftermarket upgrade, sold through third-party distributors.

For golf cart or LSV manufacturers looking for a display partner, Connex Display offers a turnkey OEM solution with full branding control. Navitas serves the aftermarket upgrade market through its dealer network.

Dashboard and vehicle data

Both displays show vehicle speed and battery information via CAN bus. Connex Display shows speed, gear position (N/D/R), battery percentage, trip distance, and odometer as standard. Navitas shows speed and battery state of charge, but requires a compatible TAC controller for full CAN integration.

Don't see your question here? Reach out to us and we'll get back to you asap.

Who is Connex Display actually for?

Choose Connex Display if you are an OEM manufacturer or fleet operator looking for a white-label, wireless-first display system that ships as your own product. Connex Labs works as your engineering partner — not a parts supplier. Choose Navitas if you are an individual owner upgrading an existing golf cart and want a display available through established aftermarket dealer networks.

Can I white-label Connex Display for my brand?

Yes. Connex Display is fully white-label ready. We customize the boot screen, logo, colour scheme. Other than custom functionality/Features specific to the OEM can be programmed to. Especially features like on touch on/off.

How long does integration actually take for a new vehicle model?

Depends on your CAN implementation but most integrations are weeks not months. We work directly with your engineering team. It's not a "buy it and figure it out" situation.

How does Connex Display integrate with the vehicle?

Connex Display is plug-and-play with CAN bus support for vehicle data integration. For OEM partners, we handle full integration into the vehicle dashboard during assembling.

Do you handle firmware updates or do we need to manage that ourselves?

We handle it. OTA update infrastructure is part of the system. Your end users don't need to plug anything in and your team doesn't need to manage a firmware release process.

What apps can riders use on Connex Display?

Through wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, riders can access 20+ apps including Spotify, Google Maps, Waze, WhatsApp, and more. The display also has built-in FM radio and Bluetooth audio.

Does wireless CarPlay drain battery faster or cause lag?

No meaningful difference. Wireless CarPlay on Connex Display uses a dedicated BLE channel so there's no competition with audio or calling. Latency is the same as wired in normal use.

What does the support relationship look like post-launch?

You get a direct line to our engineering team, not a support ticket queue. For OEM partners we're essentially embedded in your product.
